Queensway, one of the UK’s Starbucks franchise partners, has opened three new sites in two months and is targeting further growth, Propel reported on 4 November 2026. The group’s own website describes a portfolio of 30 Starbucks franchise sites running from Staffordshire to Gloucestershire and Cambridgeshire, a multi-site scale most coffee franchises in the UK now recruit for.
Propel’s full report sits behind a subscription, and its headline does not say where the three new sites are or when the next will open. On its website, Queensway says it runs drive-thru, high street and city centre Starbucks stores.
The page is not dated, so the total of 30 may not include the three latest openings reported by Propel. Queensway is a multi-brand group: alongside Starbucks in the UK, it franchises KFC in Austria and Slovakia and owns two hospitality venues in Chelsea, London, a portfolio spanning the fast food franchises in the UK and hospitality.
A Starbucks estate from Staffordshire to Cambridgeshire
Queensway trades its Starbucks estate as Queensway Coffee Houses. According to the group, its stores span Staffordshire, Gloucestershire and Cambridgeshire, and include drive-thru units as well as high street and city centre shops. The group says it is a long-standing partner of the brand and that its Starbucks network is growing. Its director’s statement on the same page refers to serving customers in Gloucester. The group does not publish turnover, opening dates or a site list on the page reviewed for this article.
KFC in Austria and Slovakia, a club in Chelsea
Outside the UK, the group trades as Queensway Europe and is a KFC franchisee in Austria and Slovakia, where it runs 38 restaurants and says it is investing in its stores and people to grow its presence. In London, it owns and operates Sloane Place, which combines a restaurant, bar and terrace with hotel rooms, and The Sloane Club, a private members’ club next door, where it has created three restaurants: Helena’s, an all-day brasserie, The Venus Room, for fine dining, and a roof terrace serving Asian-inspired dishes.
Across the group, Queensway says it employs more than 1,200 people, serving customers from Gloucester to Vienna and Bratislava. Karim Jivraj, group franchisee director, says on the group’s website: “We have a long history of working with leading Global Franchise brands.” He adds that the group puts weight on building strong relationships with its franchise partners.
A discrepancy on the group’s own page
The same page says Queensway runs Starbucks stores “and KFC restaurants across the UK”, but its only KFC figures relate to Austria and Slovakia. The page does not give a number of UK KFC restaurants, and none of the sources read for this article confirms any.
What the update leaves open
Propel’s headline describes Queensway as a Starbucks franchisee, the same wording the group uses on its own site, and says it is targeting further growth. No target number, region or timetable is public.
Queensway describes its Starbucks stores as franchise sites; this article has not confirmed the terms of its agreement with Starbucks, and neither company has published them. Further detail would come from opening announcements or from the group’s filed accounts, unlike the terms brands set out across the UK franchise directory.
