Dirty soda brand Slurp incorporates a franchise company

Slurp Dirty Soda Franchise Limited was incorporated on 7 September 2026, the newest of four companies registered around a Birmingham dirty soda brand that opened its first shop a year ago. A franchise page is live and sets out two formats. No franchised outlet is trading yet, and no fee or investment figure is published anywhere on the site.

The page offers two formats. A small kiosk is described as a compact menu, cheap to set up, fast to launch, and operated by two people, and a flagship as a larger menu with what the page calls more earning potential. The homepage adds high street and shopping centre formats, and lists full training, ongoing support, flexible formats, a “proven model” and “no experience needed”.

On trading it says the brand has “consistent, profitable momentum with increasing demand”. It publishes no initial franchise fee, no ongoing management service fee, no total investment range and no unit-level figure of any kind; the figures our guide to what it costs to open a franchise in the UK would normally start from. Enquiries go to a personal email address rather than a company domain.

Good to know

There is no franchise statute in the UK, no register of franchise agreements and no statutory pre-contract disclosure requirement, so nothing obliges a franchisor to publish a fee, an investment range or a unit profit figure, and their absence is not a breach of anything. It also means a profitability claim on a recruitment page carries no filed evidence behind it. The British Franchise Association, a trade association rather than a regulator, asks its members to have run a pilot unit for at least a year before franchising. Slurp is not listed as a BFA member.

Slurp describes itself as the first dirty soda shop in the UK. That claim is not settled. Sluurp’d, a Derby brand with a London registered address, states on its own site that it is “the UK’s first dirty soda brand”. Neither claim can be checked against any register, and this article does not adjudicate between them.

Established networks carry a trading record that can be checked, which is one of the things to weigh when comparing the coffee shop and drinks franchises recruiting in the UK. What is on record is that Birmingham Live reported in August 2025 that Ronja Nylander and her husband were preparing to open in Birmingham that September. Nylander told the paper: “We’re opening the UK’s first dirty soda shop and I am terrified.”

Dirty soda is a fizzy drink built with cream, syrups and fruit, a format that began in Utah around 2010 and spread through American soda shops, where it has produced a franchised chain in Swig. In the UK it is new enough that the category has no established operator.

For Slurp the measurable next steps are narrow: whether a third shop opens, whether any of the formats on the franchise page is taken up by a partner, and whether the company publishes a fee or an investment range. Its first accounts and confirmation statement will not be due for some months. Anyone weighing a first site should read our guide on being the right candidate to open a franchise and compare franchise opportunities across the UK
