The L’Express Franchise team

Alain Weill

A media man, Alain Weill began his career in free radio. In 2000, after 8 years as CEO of NRJ Group, he bought out RMC, then in decline, and created NextRadio. In just a few years, the group has made its mark on the French audiovisual landscape, with television channels that have become indispensable: BFM TV, BFM Business, RMC Découverte, RMC Sport, RMC Story and regional channels. Over the years, the group has expanded and diversified its digital activities. At the same time, Alain Weill becomes the majority shareholder in the newsmagazine L’Express through his company News Participation. He was appointed president and publishing director, and launched a veritable transformation of the title to make it the media brand for opinion leaders.
In 2021, he leaves his position at NextRadioTV, now Altice Média, to pursue new projects in media and digital.
