Urban Greens, the chef-led salad chain, will open its seventh London site at 100 Tottenham Court Road on 21 October. The unit has seating for 20 and offers takeaway and delivery, and it will be the second Urban Greens site to serve breakfast, following High Street Kensington.
Hospitality and Catering News reported on 19 October 2026 that the new unit will launch with a limited-edition salad created with Shoreditch restaurant Osteria Angelina, part of the brand’s Guest Chef Series, available until 6 November.
Urban Greens opened its sixth London site in Shoreditch in October 2025, The Grocer reported at the time, adding that several more openings were planned. Sources do not state whether Urban Greens franchises, so this article describes it as a chain rather than one of the restaurant franchises in the UK.
What the Tottenham Court Road unit offers
The menu covers salads, hot-protein trays and a build-your-own breakfast bar with date porridge and açaí bowls, introduced shortly after opening, a healthy food-to-go format several fast food franchises have moved into. Signature salads include the Urban Caesar, Thai Crunch and Beef Saigon, and the food offer is gluten-free with vegetarian and vegan options.
Bowls and trays are compostable with recyclable lids. The guest chef salad, the Angelina Salad, combines Wafu chicken and sesame glass noodles with fresh greens, and was developed with Angelina co-founder Joshua Owens-Baigler and executive chef Usman Haider.
Seven London sites and an earlier plan
In August 2024 co-founder Rushil Ramjee told MCA that the group planned to add five further sites over the next 18 months. The Tottenham Court Road unit is the seventh London site, and the sixth, in Shoreditch, opened in October 2025.
The brand has not published turnover or a total investment for any of its sites, and the reports reviewed give no figure for headcount or for the cost of the new unit, figures that brands recruiting operators set out in the UK franchise directory.None of the sources states how many sites the group traded in August 2024, so they do not show whether that five-site plan has been met.
What to watch next
The markers are the opening-day trading, the introduction of the breakfast bar at Tottenham Court Road and any further site announcements. Urban Greens has not named an eighth site or a target for the estate. The collaboration salad runs from the 21 October opening to 6 November, a fixed window of about two weeks, which gives the first measurable test of the new unit. The Guest Chef Series is the brand’s current marketing device, and the next collaboration after the Angelina salad ends on 6 November has not been announced.
The Grocer’s October 2025 report said several more sites were planned after the sixth, and the seventh now follows a year later, which gives a rough pace of one site every 12 months in the period covered by these three sources. Whether the group keeps that rhythm, and whether it ever opens the estate to franchise partners, are the open questions. Until it publishes accounts or a development plan, the opening dates and the seat counts quoted by trade titles are the only measures of its growth, and none of them say how the new Tottenham Court Road unit will trade against the older sites in the estate.
