Raising Cane’s appears to be preparing a restaurant in Dalston, east London. The US chicken chain posted management job adverts for 3-5 Kingsland High Street on 14 October 2026, the first public trace of a site there, while its Piccadilly Circus flagship is still due to open in early 2027.
The chain is preparing its first UK restaurant at Piccadilly Circus, in the former Angus Steakhouse at 21-22 Coventry Street, between Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square. Its UK website gives early 2027 for that opening, later than the late 2026 date announced in September 2025. When it unveiled its UK plans, the company named The Strand, Oxford Circus, Paddington and South Bank as areas for further London restaurants, alongside drive-thru sites across greater London and beyond. Dalston was not on that list.

What the job adverts reveal about the Dalston site
The two adverts, for a restaurant manager and a restaurant operations manager, give the full address and postcode, E8 2JS, which places the site on Kingsland High Street in the London Borough of Hackney. Both are restaurant-floor roles that report to a restaurant leader, which points to a trading restaurant rather than an office: the company’s UK office is registered in Paddington. Neither advert gives an opening date, a size or a format for the Dalston site.
Adverts also point to Tottenham Court Road and Kingston
Dalston is not the only unannounced address. On 15 October the careers site listed 18 roles, including restaurant management posts at 110-113 Tottenham Court Road and at 84 Eden Street in Kingston upon Thames, alongside the Coventry Street flagship. Surrey Live reported the Kingston adverts in July 2026. Raising Cane’s has confirmed none of these addresses as restaurants, so for now the adverts are the only public trace of the sites beyond Piccadilly.

Company-run restaurants, not a franchise
Raising Cane’s will own and operate its UK restaurants itself rather than franchise them, according to its September 2025 announcement. Its UK company, Raising Cane’s Restaurants UK Limited, was incorporated on 2 January 2025, is registered at 163-173 Praed Street in Paddington and lists restaurant and takeaway activities among its business codes. Todd Graves, owner and founder of Raising Cane’s, said when the plan was announced: “It has always been a dream of mine to bring Cane’s to the UK”. Companies House records the entity, not how many restaurants it runs.
Can you open a Raising Cane’s franchise in the UK?
No franchise route has been announced. The company says its UK restaurants will be company-operated, so each new site, Dalston included, would be opened and run by Raising Cane’s itself, rather than by the operators behind the fast food franchises in the UK.
What Raising Cane’s has not confirmed yet
Raising Cane’s has not announced the Dalston restaurant, its size, its format or an opening date. Kingsland High Street sits in the London Borough of Hackney, outside the central areas the company named in 2025, so a Dalston site would take the brand beyond the West End before its first restaurant has traded. The next markers are the Coventry Street opening and any statement from the company on where its second UK restaurant will be. Brands that do open a route for UK operators are listed in the UK franchise directory.
