Lucky B’s adds eight delivery sites, seeks UK franchisees

Lucky B’s Hot Chicken has opened eight new delivery-only sites across the UK, the brand has said, alongside its four physical restaurants in Scotland and Lancashire. The Glasgow-founded chain, built around Nashville-style hot chicken, is now recruiting franchise partners to take Lucky B’s into further UK cities.

Founded in 2022 by Giancarlo Celino and Toni Dobrenko, Lucky B’s began as a single counter in Giffnock, on Glasgow’s south side, before adding sites in Paisley Road West and the West End. The brand then crossed the border with a restaurant in Blackpool and a unit in Burnley. Lucky B’s builds its menu around Nashville-style fried chicken, and describes the eight new delivery sites as the next step in that growth, running alongside its ongoing search for franchise partners.

Lucky B’s said the eight delivery sites have “now officially launched”, running alongside its four physical restaurants rather than replacing them. A delivery-only format lets a brand reach new postcodes without the cost of a full sit-down fit-out, an approach several of the fast food franchises recruiting in the UK have used to test demand before opening a physical site.Lucky B’s has not published which cities the new delivery sites cover, or named the operator running them.

Lucky B’s is recruiting franchise partners to grow the brand into new cities, having already signed its first franchise partner outside Scotland in Lancashire. Ross Fairbairn, who operates 22 Subway shops across the North West of England, took on the Blackpool site as Lucky B’s franchisee for the region. Giancarlo Celino, co-founder of Lucky B’s, said at the time: “We are excited to be opening our first franchise outside of Scotland. And to have someone with Ross’ experience onboard, and ready to open more stores, it really does highlight the potential of Lucky B’s.”

Good to know

Lucky B’s publishes a franchise recruitment page with an application route, so it is a genuine franchise opportunity. It has not published a franchise fee, a minimum investment figure or a total investment range.

Lucky B’s own franchise page also refers to ongoing discussions for master franchise agreements covering the UK and India, without giving further detail on terms or timing. Its website separately lists five sites open for collection or delivery in Glasgow, Blackpool and Burnley, the base its new delivery sites and any incoming franchise partners will build on. Lucky B’s has not published a target number of UK sites, or a timeframe for reaching one.
