Creams Café is taking its dessert menu into cinemas. The brand announced on 6 October 2026 a kiosk format inside Cineworld sites, with five kiosks due by the end of the year at Feltham, Hemel Hempstead, Hounslow, Stevenage and Basildon as a first phase. The brand says every item is served in under 90 seconds.
Creams was founded in 2008 and operates more than 90 sites across the UK, with a menu built around crepes, waffles, sundaes, gelato and shakes, according to the trade coverage of the announcement.
The cinema kiosks follow its first international franchise agreements, signed for Greece and Cyprus. The kiosk range is narrower than the café menu: gelatos, sorbets, sundaes, scoop shakes, soft swirl sundaes, churros and goo-bakes, all designed for fast service in a cinema setting.
Five kiosks in the first phase
The first phase covers five kiosks, all due to open by the end of 2026 at Cineworld sites in Feltham, Hemel Hempstead, Hounslow, Stevenage and Basildon. Every site named is in England: Feltham and Hounslow in west London, Hemel Hempstead and Stevenage in Hertfordshire, and Basildon in Essex.
Further Cineworld sites are expected to join the partnership after the first five, although the announcement gives no number or date for them. The brand states that all products can be delivered in under 90 seconds, a speed target set for customers queuing before a film.
A format beyond the café estate
Everett Fieldgate, chief executive of Creams, described the Cineworld tie-up as a significant growth opportunity and said it “reflects our ambition to build Creams into a broader lifestyle brand”. Tim Sparrow, head of retail at Cineworld, said the cinema operator aims to give customers the best possible experience and that adding Creams supports that aim.
The chief executive framed the move as a way of reaching customers beyond the brand’s traditional café estate, which sets the kiosks apart from the full-menu sites the group has built since 2008. The kiosk menu is a short selection of the gelato, sundae and shake lines rather than the full café range of crepes and waffles.
What the announcement does not say
The coverage gives no investment figure, kiosk size or fee structure, and it does not say whether the kiosks will be run by the brand itself or by franchise partners, a split explained in what a franchise is. Only the Greece and Cyprus deals are described as franchise agreements.
What comes next
The end of 2026 is the only date attached to the rollout, and it applies to the first five kiosks. Additional Cineworld sites are described as joining later, so the list of venues and the pace of openings remain open. The brand’s overseas franchise agreements and its cinema kiosks are the two recent developments named in the announcement, and neither carries a published unit target, unlike the terms set out by brands recruiting operators in the UK.
Cineworld presents the partnership as a way of meeting its customers’ needs better. The announcement frames the five kiosks as the opening step of a wider partnership between the two companies, with no total target stated. Any later update on opening dates would come from Creams or Cineworld directly.
