The Concept

A home care franchise from a family-run brand with more than 40 years in UK care

Radfield Home Care is a family-run home care brand that franchises its model to independently owned businesses across the UK. It draws on more than 40 years of family experience in the UK care market, and was named Emerging Franchisor of the Year in 2019 by HSBC and the British Franchise Association. In 2026 it was a finalist in two categories at the BFA HSBC UK British Franchise Awards.

Its franchise partners each run their own home care business in a local territory, as part of a national network that shares experience through peer support and national office expertise in finance, marketing, technology and people management.

A franchise built around training and support

No prior care experience is required. New franchise partners complete an introductory business training week, delivered by Radfield’s management team, which has won a Princess Royal Training Award, followed by training in legislation, CQC registration, operations and compliance.

Radfield works with high street banks including HSBC, Lloyds, Barclays and NatWest, which it says can lend up to 70% of the total investment. The company says franchise partners typically reach cash flow breakeven towards the end of their first year and advises them to plan for little or no drawings from the business during that period.
