A pest control franchise with more than 80 UK locations and a fixed monthly fee instead of royalties

Pestforce was formed in 2014 by Sean Taylor under The Forces Group name and has grown into a pest control network operating in more than 80 locations across the UK. It says it is the most reviewed pest control franchise in the country, with more than 20,000 five-star reviews.

Each franchisee becomes the exclusive Pestforce operator in their area, with lead generation from head office and the flexibility to manage their own diary. Rather than charging a percentage of each job, Pestforce takes a fixed monthly fee, so franchisees keep the benefit as their turnover grows.

Three weeks to qualified technician

No pest control experience is needed. New franchisees complete a three-week intensive course covering technical skills, sales, marketing and systems, then spend a week in the field with an existing franchisee. Within nine to twelve months they study for the Level 2 qualification in Pest Management and become full members of the BPCA.

The package also includes a starter marketing pack worth £2,000, initial stock and materials, branded uniform and public liability insurance up to £5 million. Franchisees can work alone or employ additional technicians as the business grows.

Pestforce says that by following its business plan, franchisees should expect to earn £30,000 to £50,000 in their first year. It adds that some earn £100,000 a year and some less than £20,000, and that 35% of its current technicians earn more than £70,000.

No. Pestforce says previous experience is not a prerequisite, as its training covers all the knowledge and skills needed.

A three-week intensive course covering technical skills, sales, marketing and systems, a week in the field with an existing franchisee, and support towards the Level 2 qualification in Pest Management within nine to twelve months.

Pestforce does not recommend it. It says some technicians started part-time, but relying on another job can hold the business back.

Yes. Franchisees can take on additional technicians when they run out of hours, and several already run teams.

Pestforce operates in more than 80 locations across the UK, with each franchisee holding an exclusive area.
