Larry Cuts the Ribbon on Our New Franchise Support Centre.
Last week we officially opened the doors to the new More Than Loft Ladders Franchise Support Centre, and who better to do the honours than Larry, our much-loved mascot, who performed the official ribbon cutting to a big cheer from the crowd.
The new centre, ideally placed between Nottingham and Derby just off the M1, was packed with friends, associates and well-wishers from across the network. A great time was had by all, and it was brilliant to see so many familiar faces come together to celebrate what this means for the future of MTLL.
The Support Centre has one job: giving our existing and future franchisees the very best chance of success. From hands-on training to ongoing business support, everything under this roof is built around helping our network thrive.
And the centre is already turning heads. On the day itself we were approached by a manufacturer keen to use our new training area, proof, if it were needed, that we’ve built something special.
Here’s to the next chapter. Larry approves, and he’s a tough crowd.

More Than Loft Ladders awarded 5-star franchisee satisfaction with a 96% score
More Than Loft Ladders has been awarded 5-star franchisee satisfaction, following its latest franchisee satisfaction survey.
The business achieved an overall score of 96%, significantly above the 76% benchmark required to achieve 5-star status.
For anyone considering a franchise, this is an important measure. Franchise recruitment material can explain the model, the opportunity and the support available, but franchisee satisfaction gives a clearer view of how the people already inside the network feel about the business.
Franchise partners are the ones experiencing the training, systems, day-to-day support, supplier relationships, customer process and head office communication first-hand. Their feedback is one of the strongest indicators of whether a franchise network is delivering what it promises.
A 96% satisfaction score suggests a high level of confidence among More Than Loft Ladders franchise partners in the model, the brand, the support structure and the future direction of the network.
Why franchisee satisfaction matters
Choosing a franchise is a major decision. It is not just about buying into a brand name. It is about joining a system, following a proven process and working with a franchisor that should be actively helping franchise partners build strong local businesses.
A strong satisfaction score can give prospective franchisees confidence that the support described during the recruitment process is being felt by the network in practice.
It also gives a useful insight into the culture of the business. Happy franchise partners are more likely to engage with training, share ideas, support each other and contribute to the wider development of the brand.
Built on continued investment
The result follows a period of continued investment across the More Than Loft Ladders network.
This has included stronger onboarding and training, ongoing franchise partner support, improved systems and processes, more network events and development sessions, supplier relationship development, a growing support team and the opening of a dedicated Franchise Support Centre.
These areas are all important because they affect what happens after a franchise partner joins.
A good franchise should provide more than a logo, a website and a launch pack. It should give franchise partners the training, systems, tools and support they need to start properly, avoid common mistakes and keep improving as their business grows.
A positive sign for prospective franchise partners
For people who have previously enquired about More Than Loft Ladders but have not yet taken the next step, this award is a timely update.
The network is growing, the support structure has continued to develop and existing franchise partners have rated the business well above the 5-star benchmark.
That does not mean every prospective franchisee will be the right fit. Franchising still requires commitment, hard work, organisation and a willingness to follow a proven system.
But for someone looking to build a business of their own with training, support and an established model behind them, now is a strong time to take another look at More Than Loft Ladders.

Show this to your other half
If you’re thinking about a franchise, you’re not the only one making the decision. Your other half is part of it too, because it affects time, money, and headspace.
So show them this. It’ll save you a lot of back-and-forth.
What families actually want to know
1) Hours
At the start, you’ll graft. No point pretending otherwise.
But the difference is you’re grafting to build your own diary, not someone else’s targets. Once it’s running well (and especially once you’ve got installers in place), your hours get more predictable.
2) Money
There’s upside because there’s no wage cap, but it’s still a business.
You need a sensible plan for:
- startup costs,
- cash buffer,
- how you pay yourself early on.
We’ll talk through realistic expectations rather than “six figures in six minutes”.
3) Risk
The risk isn’t “franchise or no franchise”. The risk is making a change without a plan.
A franchise reduces risk because the model, systems, pricing approach, and support are proven. You still have to work it, but you’re not guessing.
4) Support
Most people’s fear is being left on their own once they’ve signed up.
That’s not how we operate. Training, systems, marketing support, and ongoing backup are there to stop the expensive mistakes and keep you moving forward.
5) The lifestyle bit
The goal for most people isn’t just money. It’s control.
More say over your week. More time where it matters. Less Sunday dread.
The best next step
If you’re both open-minded, book a call together. It’s not a pitch. It’s a straight conversation to see if it fits your situation and what it would look like in your area.
