A nails and waxing salon franchise built on specialism rather than breadth, with a conversion route for owners of existing salons.

A Mooeys franchise is a beauty salon specialising in nails, waxing, lashes, brows, facials and laser, run as a management franchise.

The company currently operates seven salons across southern England, in Horsham, Farnham, Haslemere, Godalming, Petersfield, Newbury and Winchester, combining company-owned sites with franchised ones. It holds over 1,700 five-star reviews and has developed its own product lines, Moo Wax and MOOSKIN.

The positioning sits deliberately between a nail bar and a high-end salon, built around a fun, friendly atmosphere and old-fashioned service rather than premium pricing. The company describes itself as the largest beauty salon franchise outside London and specialises in nails and waxing rather than offering every treatment.

Why Choose the Franchise Mooeys?

Qualifications are not required. The company addresses itself directly to people who have always wanted to own a salon but did not think they had the right background, with the franchisee leading the business rather than delivering treatments.

There are two routes in. A new salon carries a franchise fee of £24,995 with total investment of approximately £60,000 for a two treatment room site, and a minimum personal investment of £24,000. Up to 60% of start-up costs may be available through franchise-friendly lenders.

The second route is a salon conversion, aimed at existing owners taking less than £100,000 a year who have premises, a team and at least two years of trading. The fee there is £19,995 with total investment of approximately £30,000, depending on fit-out costs.

Ongoing fees are a management service fee of 5% and a marketing fee of 2% on a new salon, with marketing at 5% on the conversion route.

Franchisees retain some design freedom, with the company allowing partners to bring their own ideas into the look of their salon rather than imposing a fixed fit-out.
