Founded in 2006 as a neighborhood café in Manhattan, specialty coffee chain Gregorys Coffee now plans to expand with the launch of a dynamic franchise program. Through this initiative, the chain hopes to attract a new generation of operators “into the Gregorys family”.

After almost two decades of refining the craft coffee experience and growing over 50 locations across the U.S., Gregorys Coffee is now accelerating its expansion through franchising, leveraging a proven brand and model backed by strong customer loyalty.

Grounded in community, culture and high-quality coffee, Gregorys is empowering entrepreneurs to join its journey, providing the tools, training, and support to bring its signature café experience to new neighborhoods. With a strong franchise system in place, the brand is committed to giving new owners the tools to build great teams and run their cafés successfully.

To give prospective franchisees a firsthand look at the chain and its operations, Gregorys Coffee hosted its first franchise open house on Tuesday, February 17,  2026, at its Old Bridge, New Jersey café. The event gave attendees the chance to taste Gregorys’ craft coffee, explore the café experience up close, and meet members of the leadership team as they learned more about the franchise program.

Industry observers say Gregorys Coffee’s move into franchising comes at an interesting time for specialty coffee, as more consumers embrace café culture and coffee brands look for new ways to grow. With interest building among potential operators, the brand’s new franchise program could help bring its concept to a broader audience while tapping into the ongoing enthusiasm for quality coffee experiences.
