Huey Magoo’s, the fast-casual chicken tender franchise brand, has opened its 90th restaurant nationwide in Hialeah, Florida. The new location is the chain’s third in Miami-Dade County and the fifth opened by a franchisee group that has committed to nine locations across Broward and Dade Counties.
Founded on hand-crafted, freshly marinated chicken tenders, Huey Magoo’s has built its network primarily through a scalable franchise modell based on multi-unit franchise agreements concentrated in the Southeast. The Hialeah restaurant, a 1,942-square-foot end cap at 457 Hialeah Drive, offers dine-in seating, patio seating, takeout, catering, and delivery through DoorDash and Uber Eats. Orders can also be placed through the brand’s mobile app or website.
Third Miami-Dade Location Operated by Experienced Franchisee Group
The Hialeah location is operated by franchisees Frank Hennessey, Harry Dixon, and Henry Dixon, the same team behind the brand’s other South Florida restaurants. Their agreement with the brand covers nine locations across Broward and Miami-Dade Counties. “Expanding into Hialeah is an important step in our continued growth across South Florida,” said Henry Dixon, franchisee. “With locations in both Broward and Miami-Dade counties, we’re proud to open our third restaurant in Miami-Dade and introduce more guests to the quality and consistency that define the Huey Magoo’s experience.” The group has five of its nine committed locations now open, with four more in the development pipeline for the region.
90th Unit Milestone Reflects Multi-Unit Franchise Momentum
The brand’s 90th restaurant milestone reflects a development model that concentrates growth through operators committed to opening multiple units within defined territories. Huey Magoo’s menu centers on chicken tenderloins, described by the brand as the top three percent of the bird by quality, served hand-breaded, grilled, or tossed in sauces including buffalo, sweet red chili, lemon pepper, and garlic parmesan. The brand has also recently introduced Magoo’s Rewards, a loyalty program where members earn 10 points per dollar spent. New members receive a buy-one-get-one offer on a 10-piece Tender Bites meal with a beverage purchase, redeemable within 30 days.
Brand Sees Continued Demand for South Florida Expansion
“This opening in Hialeah is another strong step forward in our Florida growth,” said Andy Howard, president and CEO of Huey Magoo’s. “We’re seeing continued demand for our concept and are proud to expand with experienced franchise partners. We look forward to serving the Hialeah community and continuing to build our presence across the region.” The Hialeah restaurant operates Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to midnight.
