Jersey Mike’s Subs, the Blackstone-backed sandwich franchise brand with more than 3,300 locations across all 50 states, launched its IPO roadshow on July 20, 2026, targeting up to $1.09 billion in gross proceeds on the New York Stock Exchange. At the midpoint of its pricing range, the offering implies a valuation of approximately $7.6 billion for the 70-year-old franchise brand.

Originally opened in 1956 in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey, the company expanded nationwide through its proven franchise model. Peter Cancro, who purchased the chain at the age of 17 in 1971, has served as chief executive since then. By mid-2026, Jersey Mike’s counted more than 3,300 units across all 50 states and reported average unit volumes of $1.4 million. Blackstone, the private equity firm, acquired a majority stake in the brand in late 2024, a move that positioned the company for its public market debut.

The transaction involves the sale of 43.5 million Class A shares, priced in a range of $21 to $25 per share. At the high end of that range, gross proceeds would reach approximately $1.09 billion. The company filed to list on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol JMKE.

According to filings submitted to the Securities and Exchange Commission, proceeds are expected to be applied to general corporate purposes, which the prospectus notes may include debt repayment and operational costs. The offering also includes a standard underwriter over-allotment option, a mechanism that allows underwriters to purchase additional shares if investor demand exceeds the base offering size.

The implied valuation of up to $7.9 billion at the top of the price range places Jersey Mike’s among the largest publicly traded restaurant franchise systems in the United States. The figure reflects investor assessment of the chain’s unit economics, its geographic reach, and the resilience of a franchise model built over more than three decades of national expansion.

Franchise systems with average unit volumes above $1 million have historically attracted premium valuations in public markets, according to analysts who cover the restaurant sector. Jersey Mike’s $1.4 million AUV, combined with its presence in all 50 states and a royalty-based revenue structure, represents the combination of metrics that institutional investors examined during the roadshow. The offering also reflects continued appetite from financial markets for franchise-backed restaurant brands, which generate recurring fee income from operator networks rather than depending on performance from company-owned locations.

The roadshow is scheduled to run through late July 2026, with pricing anticipated around July 29-30, ahead of the first day of NYSE trading. Institutional presentations during the roadshow are reported to cover unit-level economics, the domestic franchise development pipeline, and the financial projections included in the SEC filing.

Cancro is expected to retain a meaningful ownership stake in Jersey Mike’s following the public offering. The company has not disclosed the specific number of new franchise locations tied directly to IPO proceeds, though investor materials describe continued domestic expansion as a stated strategic priority. In the years leading up to the filing, the brand opened hundreds of new units annually, a pace that analysts noted in pre-IPO coverage as a key growth indicator for the franchise system.
