The story of Crispy Soul begins during a trip to the United States for Houssine. It was there that he discovered the world of soul food, that warm and hearty Southern cuisine with its roots in Africa, the continent of origin of our two founders. Intrigued, he decided to have his childhood friend, Younès, try this soul food on his return to France, but found very few restaurants offering this cuisine.
Having always planned to open a restaurant together, the idea emerged to launch THE Waffle Burger Dealer in Paris, a place where gourmets can enjoy authentic, generous cuisine.
They return to the U.S. for inspiration, then work for over 6 months on the recipes. Gourmets by nature, they don’t skimp on the quality and quantity of carefully chosen foods.
Passionate about lifestyle and US culture, children of the 90s, they want to retranscribe these codes in their restaurants, the first of which opens in 2020 in Brancion, in their native neighborhood.
