Nashville hot chicken continues to drive fast-casual expansion across California. The franchise brand Angry Chickz, the East Hollywood-born chain built around bold spice levels and a high-energy dining format, opened its 42nd US location in Palmdale on July 10, marking its 37th restaurant in California and a first foothold in the Antelope Valley market.

Angry Chickz built its reputation in East Hollywood before pushing into Southern California suburbs and adjacent states. Industry observers have noted that the franchise concept took five to six years to reach its first 20 locations; it has since added more than 20 additional units in a compressed timeframe. The Palmdale restaurant, located at 39332 10th St. W., is the latest expression of that accelerated growth, opening its doors to Antelope Valley guests on the morning of July 10.

The Palmdale location opened at 11 a.m. on July 10 with a series of promotional offers tied to arrival order. The first 100 guests received a limited-edition Angry Chickz jersey, while the first 500 were eligible to enter an on-site raffle for a year’s worth of Angry Chickz food. Additional prizes were available through online pre-registration. “Southern California has been a major part of Angry Chickz’s story since day one, and opening in Palmdale allows us to continue growing in the region that helped launch the brand,” said David Mkhitaryan, founder and CEO of Angry Chickz.

The full Angry Chickz menu is available at the Palmdale location. The signature offering is Nashville hot chicken served across six heat levels, from the zero-heat “Country” option to the brand’s maximum “Angry” level. Guests can order tenders, sliders or bowls, paired with sides that include Angry Mac, seasoned fries and the house Angry Chickz sauce. The format is fast-casual, with an open ordering flow and a dining room designed for what the brand describes as a high-energy, community-centered atmosphere.

The Palmdale opening brings Angry Chickz‘s California count to 37 out of 42 total locations, with the remaining five units in other states. The brand has identified Arizona, Nevada and Texas as active expansion targets as it works to build a national footprint beyond its California base. According to company statements, the growth strategy prioritizes quality and operational consistency as new markets are added. The Palmdale restaurant will create local jobs and serve as a base for what the company has described as one of the fastest-growing hot chicken concepts in the country.
