Denny’s Canada has expanded its footprint in Alberta with the opening of a brand-new restaurant franchise in Calgary’s Cornerstone community, bringing its classic diner experience to one of the city’s fastest-growing neighbourhoods. The new location officially opened its doors on March 22, 2026, and is already welcoming guests for breakfast, lunch, dinner and late-night dining.
The Cornerstone restaurant marks Denny’s first presence in that part of Calgary, joining the brand’s two other Northeast Calgary locations at Crossroads and McKnight. For more than 70 years, Denny’s has been known for its welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere and all-day menu of diner favourites, from pancakes and omelettes to burgers and comfort classics, and the new diner continues that tradition in a modern space designed for local residents, families and commuters alike.
A growing presence in Calgary
“We are incredibly proud of our deep roots in Alberta and our long-standing relationship with Calgary, where we’ve been serving guests for over 50 years,” said Ron Cecillon, President and COO of Denny’s Canada. “Opening Denny’s Cornerstone is an exciting opportunity to be part of one of Calgary’s newest communities, while continuing to grow our presence across the province. Guests can expect the same great food and friendly service they know and love.”

John Yoingco, Franchise Business Development Manager at Denny’s Canada, added that the new restaurant gives the brand a chance to serve even more diners with “a warm, welcoming space where families, friends, and neighbours can connect over a great meal.”
As a Canadian-owned and operated franchise system, Denny’s Canada says it aims to remain active in growing communities like Cornerstone while continuing to support local initiatives as the area develops.
