Paris Baguette, the global bakery-caf\u00e9 franchise, is adding a new location in Westfield, West London, expanding its global store count to 700.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Westfield store<\/strong> is Paris Baguette’s second franchise store in the UK<\/a> <\/strong>as it seeks to expand into Europe. It made its initial foray into the global market in 2004 and has opened 700 stores in 15 countries<\/strong> over the past two decades across the US, Canada, France, the UK, Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, Brunei and Mongolia, with the majority being franchised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Rapid International Expansion Built Over the Brand\u2019s Long History<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The French-inspired bakery caf\u00e9 chain<\/strong> offers a wide variety of premium baked goods, pastries and freshly baked celebratory cakes alongside a range of hot and cold baguettes. It has a long history which dates back to a small bakery set up in South Korea in 1945.<\/strong> The franchise business was set up in 1988 <\/strong>and came under the SPC Group, a South Korean food and confectionery conglomerate. It grew quickly and by 2004 as it expanded outside South Korea Paris Baguette was the country\u2019s leading bakery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new London store is owned by Wayne Stevenson<\/strong>, Paris Baguette’s first UK franchisee <\/strong>who opened a store in Canary Wharf in November 2024. Paris Baguette had already dipped its toe into the UK market – its second in Europe after France – with two company-owned businesses in Battersea Power Station and High Street Kensington which opened in 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Store Openings in the UK to Strengthen Paris Baguette\u2019s Market Presence<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Westfield store is located on the ground floor of Westfield London in Shepherd\u2019s Bush<\/strong>, one of Europe\u2019s biggest shopping centres. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stevenson, who became a franchisee after living for several years in South Korea<\/strong>, said: “I am excited to be opening in a second location, as my first Paris Baguette in Canary Wharf has made its mark in the local community since its opening last year. What I have learned is that Paris Baguette leads the field in quality <\/strong>and innovation<\/strong>. I look forward to seeing Paris Baguette becoming a household name here.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By mid-December, Paris Baguette is set to open its fifth location and third franchise store in the UK<\/strong>, near Portobello Market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
